I would be up for that, depending on timings (we are camping in August for 2 weeks as a family). But if I am available, and the husband is willing to look after dog and child (he is usually happy to provided he has no plans) then I’m 100% in!

I guess we’ll need to establish if people would prefer a weekend or not (I’m guessing for most it will be weekends), and dates: both the 14-16th June and 5-7th July work well for me, but I’m open to suggestions. (May is out, but late April might also work).

Yes weekends are best for me – I might be able to book a day of work but more of my leave is already committed for school holidays. July would work – it’s my husband’s birthday 16 June and I’m at a Beltane retreat end of April so those are not doable. I really hope we can find a good time to do this 🙂

I’ve been camping lots over the past 5 years with a women’s group. I’ve also been saving up for a little camper car, and finally put a deposit down in November. So the reason I’m saying this is my tent is on its last legs, so would the camper be allowed? Would love to join you, but probably couldn’t commit till nearer the time. 😀

Hi Ali, absolutely not a problem. I use my Peugeot Partner as a microcamper (with an awning on the side) sometimes, though I also have two other tents – it all depends on the weather nearer the time 😉. The owner of the campsite I’m thinking of is very accommodating. The site is called Sentry Circle Camping, just outside Northallerton.

So, the campsite will be Sentry Circle Camping, Lenthor Farm, Stokesley Road, Northallerton DL6 2UD. They have a Facebook page if you want to have a look. There is a modern day stone circle at the top of the hill. The last stones went in about 16 years ago – I should know, I was one of the people who helped pull some of the stones up the hill!

There is a large bonfire area, and firepits are available for smaller groups. There is a toilet & shower block with an outside washing up sink, and several water points. The site is sloping in parts!

Exited about camping. I agree a weekend is the best. Out of the days Beth suggested 5-7 July would be the best for me and Sentry Circle Camping looks a perfect spot 🙂

Confirmation can wait til much nearer the time, maybe a week beforehand. Last year it was £10 per person per night. I’ll check with them if it’s the same this year…
